Based on the report on “Preparing a fully – converged audio-visual world: growth, creation and values” which will be adopted by the European Parliament in 2014, an EPP Hearing on "Converged Media: opportunities and challenges for the European audio-visual media sector" will take place on Wednesday 16 October 2013 from 15.00-18.30 in the European Parliament. The hearing will be focused on three key categories: (1) Convergence and competition: market considerations; (2) Platforms, access and content creation and (3) the regulatory framework.
