This year’s Study Visit for MEPs will be to Pavia and Milan on ‘Media, research and entrepreneurship in the digital era: technology excellence and innovation in difficult times’ and will be aimed at offering a real hands-on experience of today's state-of-the-art technologies, ICT services and R&D within the European Union, as well as a deeper understanding of the conditions that allow the development of the appropriate ecosystem, with a reflection on the role of policy-makers.

The high-level program will include meetings, visits and an EIF dinner, featuring the University of Pavia's start-up incubator, local authorities, the Italian start-up FacilityLive, Huawei Global Microwave R&D Center, Sky Italia's studios and broadcasting premises, the Italian Publishers Association (AIE), BT Italia and Eutelsat.
