IGF 2012 Preparatory Meeting

EIF Breakfast Debate

Where does Europe stand on Internet Governance? The multi-stakeholder approach which has been essential to the success of the Internet is being challenged by efforts to expand influence of intergovernmental institutions, including the ITU.

A series of events such as the IGF, WCIT, WTPF will take place this year and in 2013 and will be crucial in determining the future governance of the Internet. Europe will have a crucial role to play in the debate together with other allied countries.
