In September 2016, I-Com discussed the strengths and weaknesses of the European Commission proposal for a Reform of Audiovisual Media Services Directive at its early stage.

Now, a new event and a new paper edited by I-Com (Reviewing DSM Strategy Impact on Media Content Industry) aim to extend the investigation to the DSM strategy as a whole, trying to identify and measure its impact on the Media content industry, with a special focus on the last updates of the AVMS and Copyright legislative proposals.

The upcoming event will represent a favourable occasion to encourage a debate on the impact of ongoing actions envisaged by the Digital Single Market Strategy on the media sector and on the challenges lying ahead in order to foster the competitiveness of this important sector on the European stage. The main focus would be on copyright and AVMSD reforms and their respective legislative debate. The Conference will be introduced by the presentation of an I-Com Paper.
