Every year, ICANN's Nominating Committee (NomCom) selects outstanding individuals as members of ICANN’s Board of Directors and its policy-making supporting organisations and councils.
In 2010, the NomCom selected Erika Mann, one of the EIF's founders and former Chair to join the ICANN Board of Directors.
The 2011 NomCom invites you to hear Erika talk about her experiences with ICANN, and briefly introduce the policy initiatives ICANN is currently work on.
The 2011 NomCom is now seeking volunteers willing to join ICANN's leadership and help shape the future of the Internet. During the cocktail you will find out more about the Committee's work and the positions it has to fill this year.
The application process for positions is open until 4 April 2011 – the NomCom looks forward to EIF member's advice on candidates who can help lead development of policy for the Domain Name System.
