This STOA workshop will present a STOA study on AI health-related applications and their potential to transform healthcare in the EU and worldwide. Then, a discussion panel will address AI risks and benefits against a backdrop of legal, regulatory and socio-ethical frameworks. Experts will discuss policy options targeted at enhancing AI governance at the EU level and at strengthening its responsible development.
