DESCRIPTION:Members of the European Parliament, EIF Members and friends will be invited to an exchange of views with Executive Vice-President of the European Commission for A Europe Fit for the Digital Age Margrethe Vestager on Competition Policy in the Digital Era and the future initiatives. In particular, EVP Vestager will share her views of the interplay between the upcoming Digital Markets Act and competition enforcement going forward. To keep digital markets open, contestable and competitive, European regulators need all the necessary tools to act swiftly and effectively. With ex-ante regulation and competition enforcement, regulators will be equipped to address the systemic issues raised by digital platforms.
