DESCRIPTION:Cloud Computing, an emerging and quickly spreading technology which is transforming the way information is provided and accessed through the Internet, has become a widely-used term to designate and encompass a wide range of new service delivery models.This breakfast debate will provide an overview of what cloud computing is about and its current and future applications. The discussion will also address the regulatory framework which is needed to foster cloud computing in Europe (with a focus on privacy/security issues) and what the EU R&D priorities in cloud computing should be.
