SUMMARY:Global Perspectives on AI Regulation: Navigating Intellectual Property Landscapes & Connecting the Political Bubbles
DESCRIPTION:As highlighted by the work done by international fora, which has sought to address the challenges and opportunities presented by AI, we are in an era defined by rapid technological progress and digital transformation. Throughout these discussions, it has been acknowledged that AI holds the capacity to transform industries, reshape economies, and profoundly influence the structure of our societies. Consequently, governments, international organisations, and institutions are confronted with the pressing need to establish clear and robust rules that will guide the ethical evolution of AI. With Artificial Intelligence ranking high on the global agenda for decision-makers, we are presenting the opportunity to connect the EU with international multilateral fora such as WIPO, G7 or OECD and converge on a pivotal discussion: copyright in the age of AI. The event will revolve around understanding the profound impact of AI, with a particular emphasis on its implications for intellectual property. Against this backdrop, the event stands as a timely occasion for key stakeholders to convene in Brussels and participate in an open, collaborative dialogue addressing the future of AI regulation through the lens of copyright.
