SUMMARY:How intelligent solutions can keep Europe moving safety
DESCRIPTION:The ability for people and goods to move efficiently and safely across the EU’s single market and around the world is a great yet inescapable challenge.Cutting-edge know-how, adequate investments and appropriate policies are key in tackling this issue. With a focus on infrastructure and traffic management, the aim of this dinner debate was to provide a better understanding of possible technological solutions for safer and more efficient systems, including goods distribution and cross-border traffic information systems. In co-operation with the Forum for the Automobile and Society* - www.autoandsociety.com Founded in 2000, the Forum for the Automobile and Society is Brussels' leading independent debating arena for discussion of issues which are of relevance to the automotive sector and its role in society. It brings together stakeholders in the Automotive Community, including motorists, vehicle makers, dealers, component suppliers and automotive logistics. The Forum holds regular public meetings in Brussels to stimulate debate on policy issues affecting the future role of the automobile.
