The Energy Transition and the Digital Revolution are the real engines that can drive us toward a zero-carbon future that puts the consumer at the centre. Society is asking not only to decarbonise the European economy, but also that consumers benefit and play a central role in this transition. The future energy system has to enable the massive take-up of renewables, should lead to huge energy savings and enable consumers to access a wide range of competitive energy services: to keep comfort at home or in the office, to optimise energy bills and to generate sufficient returns of investment. Without digital technologies the path to a zero-carbon energy future would not be possible. Whilst, at the same time the digital industry itself has to reduce its own carbon foot print, the focus of this event will be primarily on the enabling role of digitisation in the energy sector. The convergence of energy and digital policy are a crucial part of achieving the objectives of European Green Deal. LOCATION:EIF online event TRANSP:OPAQUE END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
