Alina Ujupan is working for the European Commission and has more than 13 years of professional experience on the domain of European affairs. Currently Member of Executive Vice-President Magrethe Vestager’s, she is responsible with multiple policies areas, among which Research and innovation, Digital taxation& skills, Budget and A European Green Deal.
She was Member of Cabinets of Commissioners Dacian Ciolos (2010-2014) and Mariya Gabriel (2017-2019) covering policy reforms, implementation, and negotiation in the agricultural and digital policy fields, respectively.
She obtained her PhD on negotiation processes in EU decision?making with the University of Ulster (Northern Ireland). She obtained a MSc in Research Methods from the Nottingham Trent University (United Kingdom), a Bachelor's Degree with Honours in Politics from the same institution and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Babe??Bolyai University (Cluj Napoca, Romania).
