The European Union is committed to taking the lead towards more sustainable energy consumption and production in the global economy.

Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) have a major role to play in helping other sectors to become more energy efficient and also to overcome the challenges of energy security.

The European Internet Foundation and the European Energy Forum joined their efforts to debate these two issues which are of paramount importance for Europe and to highlight the business potential lying in a greener use of energy.

This event was co-organized together with the European Energy Forum.

The European Energy Forum is a neutral forum where energy related topics are presented and discussed. The purpose of the Forum is to facilitate the exchange of information between Members of the European Parliament, European civil servants and the industrial sector in order to gain a better understanding of energy and energy-related issues.
