Internet Governance - Feedback from the 2009 IGF in Sharm el Sheikh

EIF Breakfast Debate

This event will offer an opportunity to exchange views on the recent Internet Governance Forum held in Egypt and the political, economic, cultural, social and legal issues currently being debated in this context.

With regards to the discussions on the continuation of the IGF process one novelty is the prospect of a closer "EP/East-African Parliaments relationship". This new dimension in turn enriches the ongoing debate on the core Internet governance topics (access, security, diversity, openness, critical resources).
