At the beginning of 2023, at EIF we have kicked off a foresight exercise with the aim of producing a report titled ‘The Digital World towards 2040 – Challenges ahead for Europe’ by 2024. The third EIF report of its kind, it is focused on a framework based on trends for technology, economy and society, and its central paradigm will be “intelligent autonomy”.

Chaired by Pilar del Castillo MEP, this meeting will be the first occasion for the author, Ajit Jaokar, Visiting Fellow for Artificial Intelligence at the University of Oxford, to present the interim report to EIF members, as well as STOA and ESPAS representatives. All participants will be welcome to join an interactive discussion under the Chatham House rule.
