
Arti Garg is the Chief Technologist at AVEVA, a global leader in industrial software driving digital transformation and sustainability. In her role, Arti leads the strategic exploration and application of emerging technologies, including Generative AI, to ensure AVEVA remains at the forefront of innovation.
Arti has deep technical expertise and cross-sector experience. Prior to joining the company in 2025, she served as a Senior Distinguished Technologist at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), where she played a pivotal role in launching the HPE Sustainability Insight Center - HPE’s flagship platform for integrated sustainability data. Her distinguished career spans leadership roles in data science, cloud infrastructure, and technology strategy across industry, government, and research sectors, including at Rackspace, NRG Energy, the U.S. Congress and the White House Budget Office.
Arti is deeply committed to civic engagement and ethical technology development. She is the Founder and Chair of Engineers & Scientists Acting Locally (ESAL), and has served on a number of leading global advisory groups, including the OECD AI Climate Committee and the World Economic Forum’s Global Futures Council on Data Equity. Arti is currently the chair of the IEEE’s Environmental Impact of AI Standards working group. Arti holds a PhD in Physics from Harvard University and advanced degrees from Stanford University and the University of Washington.
