ABOUT

Matthew is an independent advisor on strategy and regulatory issues for digital infrastructure and services. He has been a member of various senior management teams involved in some of the UK’s most significant and successful ‘market entry’ digital infrastructure investments over a period of 16 years and has led key competitive challenges to incumbent entities such as BT and Sky. This has included the positions of Director of Strategic and Regulatory Affairs at Telewest Communications Plc (where he was a key member of the management team that planned the merger with NTL which subsequently led to the creation of Virgin Media) and Business Policy Manager at Orange Telecommunications UK. He has been at the forefront of the industry as it developed and expanded over the years, defining new digital TV and broadband markets and modus operandi for the industry, and leading in associated policy and regulatory discussions with UK and EU regulators. He currently supports the Digital First Group as strategic advisor.
