ABOUT

Jens-Henrik Jeppesen is Director, European Affairs, at the Center for Democracy and Technology (CDT). In this role he is responsible for managing CDT's engagement with the EU institutions, Member States and other European-based international institutions. 

Jens has, for more than 15 years, been engaged in European and international public policy, focusing on digital economy and technology policy, based in Brussels.

Prior to his current role with CDT, Jens had been working at Dell since 2007. He joined Dell to establish its European Government Affairs practice and set up its Brussels office. In his role as Director, Government Affairs, EMEA, Jens was been responsible for managing Dell's engagement with policy makers in the region, ensuring engagement on Dell's priority policy issues, supporting Dell's Public Sector businesses in major European markets, and advising management on to state aid and antitrust issues relating to Dell's operations in the European region. 

Before joining Dell, Jens managed Intel's EU Affairs team, based in Brussels. Jens and his team drove Intel's corporate and technology policy agenda, covering data protection, cybersecurity, telecommunications and spectrum regulation, copyright and digital rights management, as well as patents and standards policy and regulation. Jens personally led Intel's European policy work on digital content, copyright and DRM.  

Before working for Intel, Jens headed the Telecoms, Media and Technology practice at EU Affairs consultancy Adamson Associates/BSMG Worldwide, and worked at the American Chamber of Commerce to the EU, managing staff support to a group of senior executives responsible for EMEA operations of US companies, as well as to AmCham's committee on digital economy policy. 

Jens is Danish, studied business administration in Copenhagen and New York and holds a Master's degree from Copenhagen Business School.
