Michael Garvey is a Board Member of the Buckinghamshire (Thames Valley) Local Enterprise Partnership (www.buckstvlep.co.uk) and Vice Chair of Buckinghamshire Business First (www.bbf.uk.com), leading on infrastructure for both organisations. As a consequence of this, he is involved with various infrastructure projects, including being the Joint Chair of the Bucks Herts Broadband Project (http://www.connectedcounties.org) that is currently bringing super-fast broadband to parts of Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire for the commercial roll out. He is also a Board Member of the Buckinghamshire Local Transport Board.  

Michael is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (www.rics.org) and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (www.ciarb.org) with more than 25 years of experience working with commercial property in the Greater Thames Valley region in the UK. He advises businesses on relocation and developers and investors on new construction projects. He works for some of the UK’s largest pension funds and occupiers. 

Through a career involving land and buildings, Michael has developed a strong interest in how the business sector interacts with Government at all levels and how Government policies can help as well as hinder economic development.
