Kristin Heitmann is an app developer since 2011. She started to develop apps as a stay at home mom for her own children, because she could not find apps that suited her high expectations as a teacher of what should be considered family friendly. After winning the “Deutscher Computerspielpreis” in 2013 for the Best Game for Children she founded appp media. Kristin designs the apps and has a team of programmers and artists working for her. As a member of Moms With Apps®, appp media is committed to high standards for protecting kids’ privacy.

Before developing apps Kristin worked as an author of school books, teacher manuals and educational film. 

Kristin studied teaching at University of Passau / Germany and worked as a primary school teacher for more than 10 years.
