Mr Ilkka Lakaniemi is the Chair of EU FIWARE Future Internet PPP programme building an open source platform ecosystem to enhance European sector and firm-level competitiveness.

He is Vice President in charge of Digitalization & Renewal-national projects at the Finland Chamber of Commerce. In 2000-12, Mr Lakaniemi worked at the Nokia Corporation and NSN in senior management positions in business strategy, corporate relations, venturing and strategic marketing. Mr Lakaniemi is a Visiting Scholar and a Senior Advisor at the University of California at Berkeley and at the Aalto University Business School on Internet economy.
