Peter joined Fastweb as Chief Financial Officer in 2014. He is responsible for the financial management and strategic direction setting of Italy’s largest wireline alternative operator. Prior to Fastweb, Peter worked for Swisscom, the Swiss telecom incumbent and mother company of Fastweb, starting in 2005. He headed strategy functions in different areas and was associate member of the executive board from 2012 onwards. He set the group’s network and Internet service strategy, and shaped the Next Generation Access Network (NGAN) roadmaps of both Swisscom in Switzerland and Fastweb.
Before Swisscom, Peter served as management consultant with McKinsey and Comp, Berlin.  He holds a Ph.D. in physics from Ecole Normale Supérieure, Paris, and was researcher at University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, USA.  Peter likes skiing, hiking, and swimming.
