Born in 1948, was German civil servant from 1976 to 2013 working for IT services for the public administration. Doing this for many years he was head of a very large unit that provides a broad range of different IT services for ministries and public authorities. Furthermore, for many years he was a member of the Project Control Board of a large and important Project of the European Commission devoted to strategic key issues of IT and chairman of European (within CECUA) and national working groups covering user interests and general aspects of IT with regard to business users and private users. Since 2013 he is Director Technology at the board of CECUA (Confederation of European Computer Users Associations).
