Jerónimo Payán is a Spanish lawyer and economist. He started his career in Arthur Andersen Tax, and a after a few years heading the International Tax Department of Ferrovial, joined Telefonica in 2001. He has had different roles within the Group, mainly in the tax area, and basically he´s been focused in Brasil, Hispanoamerica, UK, Germany and Spain. For the last 4 years, he has been leading both the tax area of the Digital division of Telefonica and the European operations of the Telco, where he has acquired a practical knowledge from scratch of the various problems that the digital economy is bringing on traditional taxation. Jeronimo has participated as a speaker in various conferences of tax and audit firms and business schools.
