Jenny is the Insights Manager of GSMA’s Mobile for Humanitarian Innovation programme which seeks to accelerate the delivery of a digital humanitarian future. She works with mobile network operators and humanitarian actors generating insights into how and where mobile technology is impacting the humanitarian sphere from natural disasters, the digitization of humanitarian aid, to refugee crises. Jenny has conducted field research across East Africa, focusing on the socio-economic impact of mobile connectivity on refugees, and the role of mobile technology in improving humanitarian response through humanitarian cash transfers.
Jenny holds a BA (Hons) in Geography from Oxford University, where her research focused on the transformational impact of mobile money service, M-Pesa, in the Rift Valley, Kenya.
