Serving his second mandate, MEP Alex Agius Saliba is Vice-President of the Socialists and Democrats Group in the European Parliament, responsible for Communication, Campaigns, and the Digital Agenda. He chairs the S&D Digital Working Group, coordinating the group’s digital communication strategy. His work in recent years has delivered tangible results, positioning the S&D as a driving force behind key legislation such as the DSA, DMA, and AI Act. His leadership continues to shape the EU’s push for digital sovereignty, reduced reliance on foreign technology and protection of EU values within the digital ecosystem.
