The digital environment offers new challenges and opportunities both for on-line as well as off-line commerce.

The protection of consumers’ rights, which is crucial to build the necessary trust of citizens and businesses alike, is an important policy area on which the EU focused. This breakfast discussion was aimed at helping participants understand how best to ensure that the benefits of the Internal Market could be fully seized while bringing at the same time the EU closer to its citizens.
