Coming after IGF 2014, NetMundial and the ITU Plenipotentiary meeting, 2015 will be a crucial year for internet governance as the UN General Assembly will review the implementation of the WSIS outcomes in pursuance of the Resolution 60/252 and of paragraph 111 of the Tunis Agenda for the Information Society.

As part of that process, the UNGA will also decide on the renewal of the IGF. By convening experts and practitioners of internet governance, the EIF aims at bringing this discussion to the European Parliament on November 19th and discuss the outcomes of IGF 2014 in Istanbul, their significance for European policymakers and the challenges ahead for 2015 as well as the opportunity for the EU to present a united front on what promises to be crucial debates for the continuation of an healthy internet for the benefit of all.
