In Dec 2020, the European Commission proposed the Revised Directive on Security of Network and Information (NIS2), repealing the existing cybersecurity rules. This new proposal may have implications for key Internet infrastructure providers including Domain Name System services, Top-Level Domain registries, trust service providers, and certificate authorities that operate in the European market. This report assess how the Presidency compromise proposal from Sept 21st. may affect the Internet.
