The European Commission recently proposed CRA as a new initiative aiming to address cybersecurity in Europe. The new proposal is both ambitious and far-sweeping covering a variety of technologies.

The objective of this EIF discussion will be to shed light in certain aspects of the proposal and consider some of the strategic questions. Is this the right scope? Is the proposal calibrated in the right way to achieve the desired efficiencies and avoid unnecessary cost and regulatory complexity? How does CRA fit with the broader EU objectives for strategic autonomy in the light of recent experiences and the current geopolitical environment.
