Back to events

Over the past few years, cybersecurity has become a policy topic of the highest priority in Europe. Following the adoption of the EU Cybersecurity Act in 2019 and most recently of the NIS 2 Directive, the EU institutions are now working on a regulation on cybersecurity resilience for hardware and software products.

The EIF will host an event on the Cyber Resilience Act with the purpose to identify outstanding challenges to be addressed by the co-legislators. The breakfast debate will be chaired by MEP and ITRE shadow rapporteur Beatrice Covassi (S&D, Italy). The discussion will explore, among other topics, how the CRA provisions are likely to impact the market and the cybersecurity ecosystem, practical aspects around incident reporting and conformity assessment, and on the interplay with existing cybersecurity requirements (in regulations such as GDPR, NIS 2 and DORA).
