This event will seek to discuss the role that the EU can play to support member states and patients, with a special focus on the EU4Health Programme (2021-2027), which includes in its key objectives the digital transformation of health systems.

The debate will in particular look at the Commission’s strategic approach for e-health, the priorities and challenges, and what can the European Union do to help address them. While the event will not address the EHDS – the next EIF event will offer a platform for discussion in 2022 once the Commission’s proposal is published – it will help advance the debate on digital health and pave the ground for upcoming debates.
